With client safety always top of mind, our partners at Intrex approached Brash to develop a door lock that integrates with the existing products we built with them to help facilitate wander management/ quarantine at memory care facilities. Intrex asked our team to create a door lock that would control entrance and exit using not only Intrex pendants and wearable monitoring bracelets, but also pairs with mobile phones and NFC smart cards. In addition to providing this seamless integration, our design incorporated an easy-to-open lever to alleviate discomfort older adults may experience from arthritis or reduced mobility.
LEDs and Long Life
Along with the ergonomic profile, the locks feature LED light indicators to signal entry or denied access with green and red lights respectively, as well as efficient battery use—providing over a full year of battery life on a single charge.
